HappiResume ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Minzzle Technologies Private Limited, helps job seekers match resumes to job descriptions with AI. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, and login credentials when you register.
Your content: resumes you upload or import, job descriptions you paste or save, career profile details (skills, experience, education, links), tailored resume versions, generated cover letters, and templates you use.
Usage data: features you use, AI credits spent and remaining, and server-side event logs (e.g., which generations you ran) used for analytics, abuse prevention, and improving the Service.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically for security and diagnostics.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
2. How we use your data
- Operate the Service: run match scoring, tailoring suggestions, cover letters, and template rendering on your content.
- AI processing: your resumes and job descriptions are processed by third-party AI service providers to generate analyses and suggestions. We share only what is needed for the requested feature.
- Accounts and credits: manage your account, track your monthly 100-credit beta allocation, and maintain your credit ledger.
- Improve the Service: aggregated, de-identified usage analytics (e.g., which features are used most) guide product decisions.
- Support and safety: respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Communications: service announcements and material changes to terms or policies. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your resumes or job descriptions with employers, recruiters, or advertisers.
- We do not use your content to train AI models, unless we explicitly ask and you opt in.
4. Who we share data with
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., our cloud host) that store and serve the Service.
- AI service providers that process your content to generate requested outputs.
- Legal compliance: if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and users' safety.
- Business transfers: if we are acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
All processors are bound to handle your data only as instructed and with appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for login sessions and preferences (such as theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Your browser settings can block cookies, but parts of the Service may stop working.
On our public pages (the home page, templates, guides, help and these legal pages) we use Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings of how visitors use them; Clarity's masking is on, so the text you type or upload is never readable in a recording, and it is not used on the signed-in app screens.
6. Data retention
- Your account data and content are kept while your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we delete your resumes, profile, and generated content within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal or security reasons.
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (via account deletion or by request).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email hello@happiresume.com. We respond within 30 days. EU/UK users may also complain to their local data protection authority; California users have rights under the CCPA/CPRA as described here.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and server-side validation — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
Our servers and AI providers may be located outside your country. Where data crosses borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post updates here and notify you of material changes in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
