Classic Serif resume template
Centered serif typography with fine double rules and a familiar reading rhythm. Single-column formatting, standard headings and selectable text keep it ATS-friendly and easy to read. Free to download as an editable Word file.
Fictional sample: Alex Morgan, Senior Software Engineer. The download is editable in Word. No signup required.
Who Classic Serif suits
Classic Serif suits law, finance, consulting, government and academic applications, where a conservative page signals care. It is also a safe choice when you do not know how formal the hiring team is.
Layout and typography
Classic Serif sets the page in Times New Roman with a centered name and contact line and balanced spacing that fits a typical two-page history comfortably. The sections run summary, experience, education, skills; you can reorder them in the editor before downloading.
The centered name and fine double rules echo a traditional printed resume. Section titles are small capitals, so the reading rhythm stays even down the page. Use it with full sentences in the summary and short, result-led bullets under each role.
Is Classic Serif ATS-friendly?
Yes. Like every HappiResume template it is a single column of real text with standard section headings, no tables, text boxes, columns or images, and a common font, so an applicant tracking system reads it in order and finds every keyword. The download is an editable Word file (.docx), the format most application forms ask for.
